17 weeks!

Wow, I can't believe I'm 17 weeks pregnant with this precious baby. I'm just so beyond excited.

Lately I've been feeling great! I had a couple of days this week where I was a bit tired at the end of the day, but who knows if that's being pregnant or just chasing around a 2 year old that does it.

I still haven't felt movement yet. I can't wait for that! At 16 weeks I had an ultrasound and the baby was moving EVERYWHERE. So this little guy or girl is active!

I have gotten my pregnancy appetite this week! The first trimester was plagued with "morning sickness" which is inappropriately named as I felt sick all day. I described it as the worst sea sickness ever that lasted from morning until night with really no escape. It was exactly like being on a boat. A boat I wanted to get off!! Right about 11 weeks it suddenly vanished which was amazing, but also scary. As a mom who's lost a baby, one of the things you worry about is suddenly losing your symptoms. My 12 week visit reassured me once we saw that little heart beating!! But like I said, now that the morning sickness is gone, I'm hungry. It's not a normal hungry either. It sneaks up on me. One minute I'm feeling fine and the next it feels as though I haven't eaten in weeks! I scarf some food and find relief, that is until the heartburn kicks in! Pop a few tums and all better!! At least for about 2 hours until the cycle begins again! LOL

David is doing great. This week we got pictures taken of him at innovative portraits. They do a great job. HE is such a little model. I had trouble picking which picture I wanted (you only get one pic for the $10 package)!

Here's our "17 week" picture. Today the baby is the size of a sweet potato. Every week I've been having David hold up the fruit or veggie that the baby is according to my iPhone app. So far they've turned out pretty cute! He's held an orange, an avocado, a turnip, and a sweet potato so far!
