Can we slow it down??

OK Seriously I want this month to last forever!! Well not really, but Stephen is in an amazing non-residency type rotation that makes me feel like he has a normal job. It is awesome, and David and I are really enjoying it!!
Here's what David is up to now a days:

1) He LOVES playing with the dogs! They both sort of just tolerate him and give me this look like "mom, could you please help me out?" But he laughs and squeals in delight when they let him chase them. Daisy really likes cheerios so she's learning there are some benefits to having a baby brother.

2) He is still not walking... he is in no rush! He gets around fine by crawling thankyouverymuch.

3)He is starting to be much more verbal and is even saying a few real words like "no" and "uh oh" and "meeeowww" (ok I know that meow isn't a word but it is stinkin cute when he sees a cat in a book and says it)

4) He loves to go for walks. Since Stephen has been on this rotation we get out of the house EVERY DAY after work. The best thing about Charleston is there is never a shortage of things to do around here! Some days we go to the pier, other days we go to the beach, once we even walked fancy downtown Charleston's King St. FUN!!!

5) He loves his Daddy. He and Stephen have such a great bond, and I absolutely LOVE that. Don't get me wrong, he loves his mom, but his Dad can do no wrong in his eyes! My favorite time of day is when I'm cooking dinner and Stephen is watching him solo. I cook and listen to my husband and little boy laugh and play and be silly and my heart SWELLS! It is in those moments when I think life couldn't get any sweeter.

Thats why my post is a plea for this month to just slow down! I can't believe it is September 15th already!! Where does the time go? David is growing up way too fast I can't believe in two weeks I'll have a 15 month old!!! Sheesh!

I know I can't slow it down, so I'm just gonna relax and enjoy these moments. God is so GOOD!

Have a great week everyone!
