October Fun

Yayyyy!!! My favorite month is finally here!! October has always been my favorite and though this year Stephen will be very busy working the adult wards, I'm determined to make the best of it. This past weekend my mom came to visit!! Dad couldn't make it because he was, in his words, "flipping burgers for the Lord" at the church fair booth. He's running it this year and has been super busy so it was just Mom. It worked out because Stephen happened to be on call Saturday so we got to hang out and have some "girl time." Well, girl time plus little David. He was a blast though and is always such a great baby. I have to say though he's getting mighty spoiled having grandmothers lovin on him two weekends in a row!

The weather here is FINALLY cooling off. It still reaches the 80s most days but much of the day is sunny, breezy and in the 70s. AWESOME!! I'm looking forward to "jacket weather."

David had his 15 month "birthday" on the 2nd and I can hardly believe it!! I can't believe this is his second fall on the earth. Wow. He's doing great according to the doctor. His fine motor skills are pretty advanced (he's coloring, and stacking 6+ blocks, feeding himself w/ a spoon), and social and gross motor is on par. We just have to work on chunking him up some. He's still not on the charts and our Doc would really like to get him above the 3rd percentile. We're working more protein and fat into his diet and trying to pump more milk into him during the day. I'm not worried though because both Stephen and I were teeny babies and well... now look at us. He's saying a lot more words now and making these hilarious nonsense sentences that really sound like his own language. He is so so active! Hardly every staying in one spot for more than 2 seconds. He's also really getting clingy to the point where he doesn't want to be put down if I'm holding him and he reallllly hates being left in the church nursery. Kinda rough for me, but I do love the extra cuddles.

Anyway, more to come. Have a great week!!
