Crazy July Fun!

What a month!!
So David's birthday was on the 2nd. We had a blast that day! Breakfast was a pancake in honor
of the occasion, a #2! That morning we went to the aquarium which was AWESOME! We even bought a pass. For just twice the cost of going we got a year pass so now we can go all the time!

Home for nap and cake baking! Here's my take on an Elmo cake! It was a hit.

The rest of the day was spent visiting with Stephen's brother Brad and his wife Lisa who came for a night. We had a blast!

Stephen was off the rest of that week so we had a "staycation." It was nice, though we ended up doing more work than relaxing some days. We went to the aquarium a few times, the beach, and the water park. Over all it was a really fun week and a chance for Stephen to really spend a lot of time with us!

The 9th was his birthday party! Patty and Ed arrived on Thursday and my parents on Friday. We all had a really nice time together! I love having both sets of parents around, we all get along so well!

His party went off without a hitch! We didn't have a big crowd of kids, but in a way that's nice. Just a few close friends that David plays with all the time, and of course our family that came! We had pizza and cupcakes, played at the park and because it was at the pier, there was a breeze so it didn't get miserably hot. I am really happy with how it turned out, it was really perfect.

The next day, David and I headed up to NH with my parents!!! David had his first airplane ride on jetBlue airways! Pappy wasn't the pilot on this flight, but he got to sit right behind him and experience it with him so it was GREAT! He did absolutely wonderful the whole time, I was amazed. We had a 3 hour car ride to get to Charlotte, and then a 2 hour plane ride, and then another 1 hour car ride to their house. It was a long day, but David did AWESOME! Even without a nap! He LOVED the takeoff and landing. It was such an amazing trip, spending time at the lake house with my family. Hopefully next time Stephen can join us. I absolutely fell in love with New Hampshire! It is such a beautiful place, the people were so friendly, it was so GREEN! SC is beautiful, but in a whole different kind of way. Here's some pics from our trip:

So that's that. We made it home safe from NH last Thursday, and life went on as usual. This weekend we are going to The Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC for a pediatric conference (can you say fancy?). I am SO excited, it's supposed to be a beautiful place, and our good friends are going with their kids so I'll have someone to hang out with while Stephen is in meetings doing doctorly stuff. Sometimes being a resident is cool. :-) I will do a post about that trip when we get back for sure!

Love to all, hope everyone is well!
